In order to become proficient in something, you have to do it. It’s called “practice”. I hate pull ups and have a tolerable relationship with running. So I guess I should not be surprised to walk in and see that on the board, right? Sure…. (Enter frown on F.O.Y.’s face)
Running increases cardiovascular endurance, burns fat and releases endorphins. I should like this, but it’s still something I have to build myself up to. Couple that with some strength building exercises and you’ve got a serious workout! I completed the WOD at 13:12 but instead of basking in sweat and glory, I went back and helped a couple of the other girls who were struggling. That is what CrossFit is all about. It’s the community aspect about the sport that I love. We all start from somewhere. We all have areas where we are weak. It is up to the others to help you along. One is never alone in the box.
